Why should I read this?
The following booking conditions form the basis of your contract with us. Please read them carefully as they set out our respective rights and obligations. By asking us to confirm your booking, we are entitled to assume that you have had the opportunity to read and have read these booking conditions and agree to them.
In these booking conditions 'we', 'us', and 'our' means JMB Coaches Ltd. 'You' and 'your 'means all persons named on the booking (including anyone who is added or substituted at a later stage) or any of them as the context requires.
These booking conditions only apply to arrangements which you book with us in the UK and which we agree to make, provide or perform (as applicable) as part of our contract with you. All references in these booking conditions to "booking", "contract” or "arrangements" mean such arrangements unless otherwise stated.
Making a Booking
The first named person on the booking ("party leader") must be authorised to make the booking on the basis of these booking conditions by all persons named on the booking and by their parent or guardian for all party members who are under 18 when the booking is made. By making a booking, the party leader confirms that he/she is so authorised. The party leader is responsible for making all payments due to us. The party leader must be at least 18 when the booking is made
Subject to the availability of your chosen arrangements, we will confirm your arrangements by issuing an acceptance form. This acceptance form will be sent to the party leader. Where you book through our website, any electronic acknowledgement of your booking is not a confirmation of it. Please check this acceptance form carefully as soon as you receive it. Contact us immediately if any information which appears on the acceptance frm or any other document appears to be incorrect or incomplete as it may not be possible to make changes later. We regret we cannot accept any liability if we are not notified of any inaccuracies (for which we are responsible) in any document within five days of our sending it out. We will do our best to rectify any mistake notified to us outside these time limits but you must meet any costs involved in doing so.
Please note that drivers hours are regulated by EU Drivers Hours regulations and any booking must comply with EU Drivers Hours regulations.
To make a booking you must pay a deposit in order to confirm your chosen arrangements. The amount of the deposit will be advised by us at the time of booking but it is normally £50 and £100 for late night weekend bookings unless a different amount applies for your chosen arrangements, full payment is required. The balance of the price of the arrangement is due for payment before departure for all arrangements. If we do not receive all payments due in full and on time, we are entitled to assume that you wish to cancel your booking. In this case, we will be entitled to keep all deposits paid or due at that date. If we do not cancel straight away because you have promised to make payment, you must pay the cancellation charges set out below depending on the date we reasonably treat your booking as cancelled.
When making a payment on line via our website www.jmbcoaches.com your credit card details are entered on a secure page and they are transferred using SSL or another secure technology.
A binding contract between us comes into existence when we receive a signed acceptance form and JMB Coaches Ltd accept the booking. We both agree that Northern Irish law (and no other) will apply to your contract and to any dispute, claim or other matter of any description which arises between us ("claim") except as set out below. We both also agree that any claim must be dealt with by the Courts of Northern Ireland only unless, in the case of Court proceedings, you live in Scotland or England and Wales. In this case, proceedings must either be brought in the Courts of your home country or those of Northern Ireland. If proceedings are brought in Scotland or England and Wales, you may choose to have your contract and any claim governed by the law of Scotland/England and Wales as applicable (but if you do not so choose, Northern Irish law will apply).
If you cancel your booking
If you or any member of your party want to cancel your booking after we have confirmed it, the party leader must immediately advise us in writing (not by email). Your notice of cancellation will only be effective when it is received in writing by us at our offices. We will ask you to pay cancellation charges on the scale shown below. Cancellation charges are calculated on the basis of the total cost payable by the person(s) cancelling. In the event of a cancellation of a booking secured by a low deposit, we reserve the right to collect the balance of the full deposit amount. Claims must be made directly.

If you change your booking
Should you wish to make any changes to your confirmed arrangement, you must notify us in writing as soon as possible. Whilst we will endeavour to assist, we cannot guarantee we will be able to meet any such requests. A change of holiday dates will normally be treated as a cancellation of the original booking and rebooking in which case cancellation charges will apply. Changes may result in the recalculation of the arrangement price where, for example, the basis on which the price of the original arrangement was calculated has changed.
If we change or cancel your booking
All changes or cancellation of arrangement, where necessary, will be notified to you at the earliest.
Except where otherwise expressly stated in these booking conditions, we regret we cannot accept liability or pay any compensation where the performance, or prompt performance, of our contractual obligations to you is prevented or affected, or you otherwise suffer any damage, loss or expense of any nature as a result of 'force majeure'. In these booking conditions, 'force majeure' means any event or circumstances which we or the supplier of the service(s) in question could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such events or circumstances may include (whether actual or threatened) war, riot, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, fire, pandemics/epidemics, closure of airports or airspace, volcanic activity and all similar events outside our control.
Our Responsibility for your Holiday
Please note, we cannot accept any liability for any damage, loss, expense or other sum(s) of any description which on the basis of the information given to us by you concerning your booking prior to our accepting it, we could not have foreseen you would suffer or incur if we breached our contract with you or which did not result from any breach of contract or other fault by ourselves or our employees or, where we are responsible for them, our suppliers. Additionally we cannot accept liability for any business losses.
If you have a Complaint
Should you have a complaint about any aspect of your holiday, you must notifyJMB Coaches Ltd office 02886752344, immediately so that the problem can be quickly resolved. Any verbal notification must be put in writing and given to JMB Coaches Ltd office. Most problems can be dealt with quickly. If you remain dissatisfied, you must write to us within 28 days of your arrangement quoting your booking reference. Any complaints concerned with the arrangements of your booking will be dealt with carefully and fairly by our staff.
JMB Coaches Ltd will be happy to accommodate a special request where possible. We regret we cannot accept any conditional booking, i.e. any booking that is specified to be conditional on the fulfilment of a particular request.
Passengers with Health Considerations/Disabilities
If you have a disability, coaches/other forms of transport can be difficult to get on and off. We always endeavour to assist if we reasonably can where additional equipment needs to be transported in relation to a disability or medical problem. However, please bear in mind that the coaches we use are subject to overall weight restrictions and have limited space to accommodate the luggage of all passengers. If we have already agreed to transport such additional equipment for an earlier booking, we may be unable to do so for a later booking for the same coach. This is particularly the case where any such equipment is relatively bulky or heavy. We will not usually be able to carry more than one mobility scooter on a coach. Carriage of any equipment is subject to its individual size, weight and other details, full details of which must be provided at the time of booking. Airlines and rail operators have their own restrictions on the carriage of such equipment. Should you suffer from any disability or medical condition which may affect your travel, you must provide full verbal and written details at the time you book the arrangement, including any specific requirements you have. We can then advise you of the suitability of your chosen arrangements. Additionally, at the time you book the booking, you must provide verbal and written confirmation that all assistance required will be provided by your travelling companion(s). You must also notify us of any changes or deterioration in the disability or medical condition, or development of any disability or medical condition after booking. In view of the nature of our holidays, we regret we must reserve the right to decline any booking or cancel (in the event of the development, deterioration or change of any disability or medical condition occurring after confirmation) whenever we reasonably feel unable to accommodate the needs or restrictions of any particular customer further reserve the right to cancel any arrangement On occasions, the decision to cancel can only be made at the time the person concerned joins the coach for the first time as it may only be apparent at this stage that their disability or medical condition cannot be accommodated.
When you book with us, you accept responsibility for any damage or loss caused by you. Full payment for any such damage or loss must be paid direct at the time. We expect all clients to have consideration for other people. If, in our reasonable opinion or in the reasonable opinion of any other person in authority, you or any member of your party behaves in such a way as to cause or likely to cause damage, upset or distress to any this party or damage to property, we are entitled, without prior notice, to terminate the holiday of the person(s) concerned. No refunds will be made and we will not pay any expenses or costs incurred as a result of this termination, including alternative travel arrangements.
Foreign Office Advice
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office publishes regularly updated travel information on its website www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice which you are recommended to consult before booking and in good time before departure.
Website/advertising material accuracy
The information contained in our documentation, on our website and in our other advertising material is believed correct to the best of our knowledge at the time of printing or publication. However, errors may occasionally occur and information may subsequently change. You must therefore ensure you check all details of your chosen arrangement (including the price) at the time of booking.
JMB Coaches Ltd will use your information for administration, analysis and to help maintain the quality of our service. The information may be provided by letter, telephone or other reasonable means of communication. Customer data is collected and handled in accordance with local law and no customer data is sold on to third parties.
